Going for Green

The Feathers Group are very proud of our continued “green” efforts to improve our Carbon Footprint and to minimise our impact on the environment. Led by the Group’s Financial Controller, Philippa Craig, our green initiatives have now become a routine part of our daily lives. Our environmental policy outlines our initiatives to date and, furthermore, each hotel in the Group has it’s individual key tasks and responsibilities. We also have a schedule which updates our environmental policy activities for 2010:

All eight Feathers Group properties are members of the Green Tourism Business Scheme and we are very proud indeed to announce that 6 of our hotels have just been accredited with a gold award (BEST WESTERN Westminster Hotel, BEST WESTERN Fir Grove Hotel, BEST WESTERN Willow Bank Hotel, BEST WESTERN PREMIER Queen Hotel,  BEST WESTERN PREMIER Leyland Hotel and BEST WESTERN Llyndir Hall Hotel) and 2 with a silver award (BEST WESTERN Alicia Hotel and BEST WESTERN Feathers Hotel), making us the only hotel company in the UK to achieve so many gold and silver accreditations over such a short period of time.
